Heart palpitations
Fluttering, pounding, or skipped beats? A clinician reviews your symptoms and watch readings, and usually asks for an ECG, at one of our clinics or near you.
Coming soon. With your consent, your Passion Health clinician will be able to get a cardiologist's written advice on your heart question. Not for chest pain — call 911.
Online specialist input for cardiology input is coming soon. Until then, a Passion Health clinician can see you in person in Dallas–Fort Worth, usually the same day; elsewhere in Texas, ask your own clinician about a specialist referral.
Not yet. When it launches, this will be an eConsult: your Passion Health clinician asks a cardiologist for written advice. You won't have a visit with the cardiologist, and they won't take over your care. Until then, a Passion Health clinician can see you in person in Dallas–Fort Worth, usually the same day; elsewhere in Texas, ask your own clinician about a specialist referral. If you have blood pressure of 180/120 or higher on repeat readings, even without symptoms, you need to be seen in person today instead (at our Dallas–Fort Worth clinics, or urgent care near you).

Cardiology is the medical specialty that cares for the heart and blood vessels. Many heart questions — an abnormal ECG report, a heart murmur, cholesterol that won't come down, or blood pressure that stays high on several medicines — don't need a new specialist appointment right away. A cardiologist's written advice to your primary care clinician can often answer them.
Not near one of our clinics? Online Care is open to adults anywhere in Texas; our clinics are in Dallas–Fort Worth. If the safety questions or your clinician show you need to be examined, we tell you what kind of care you need and how soon — an emergency room, an urgent care center, or a clinician near you. If you've already paid, the full fee is refunded and you get a written summary of your visit to take with you.
Also call 911 for chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke signs, a sudden severe headache, fainting, a seizure, severe bleeding, new confusion, throat swelling, an overdose or thoughts of harming someone else — and call or text 988 for thoughts of harming yourself. If screening routes you before you pay, nothing is charged. If a clinician routes you after you've paid, the full fee is refunded.
A Passion Health clinician evaluates you — online or by video — and stays responsible for your care. With your written consent, they send your history, results and your question to a specialist, who replies with written advice, usually within a few days. The specialist advises your clinician; they don't see you or take over your care. If they think you need to be seen in person, your clinician arranges a referral. How it will be billed is shown here before it opens.
Upload labs, imaging and letters.
Online or by video — they're responsible for your care.
Your clinician asks a specialist for written advice. The specialist does not see you.
Your clinician walks you through the advice and next steps.
Shown so you know what to expect. The reviewing clinician decides what, if anything, is appropriate for you — a prescription is never guaranteed, and controlled medicines are never prescribed online.
Specialist input isn't bookable yet. How it will be billed, including with insurance, is shown here before it opens. Until then, you can be seen in person at a Passion Health clinic in Dallas–Fort Worth, billed like any clinic visit, or, elsewhere in Texas, ask your own clinician about a specialist referral.
Labs and imaging, if needed, are billed separately, and medication is paid at your pharmacy. Passion Health doesn't sell, ship or mark up medication.
A 48-hour check-in, 30 days of secure messaging, and lab follow-up when labs were ordered.
Your clinician messages you when the cardiologist's advice comes back and explains the next steps. If the advice is to see a cardiologist in person, we help with the referral.

No. You're paying for a licensed clinician's evaluation and plan. Many visits end with a prescription; some end with a different plan, a test, or a referral. Controlled medicines — stimulants, benzodiazepines, opioids, testosterone, sleep aids like zolpidem — are never prescribed at an online visit.
No. This page is never for chest pain, pressure or tightness — even if it comes and goes. Call 911 instead. Chest pain can be a heart attack, and it needs an ECG and blood tests right away. A written eConsult takes days, which is far too slow. If your chest pain has already been checked and you have a follow-up question, your clinician can help with that.
No. Your Passion Health clinician evaluates you and stays in charge of your care. With your consent, they send your question and records to a cardiologist, who writes back with advice for your clinician. The cardiologist doesn't meet or examine you. With insurance, your plan may apply a copay or deductible. If you need an in-person cardiology visit, we'll refer you.
Your Passion Health clinician forms the patient relationship and stays responsible for your care (Tex. Occ. Code §111.005, §111.007). The specialist gives written advice to that clinician with your documented consent and does not see you.
