Underactive thyroid
Tired, cold, or gaining weight? A clinician reviews your symptoms, thyroid labs and levothyroxine dose, without a waiting room.
Coming soon. With your consent, a Passion Health clinician will be able to ask an endocrinologist for written advice about a hormone or gland question.
Online specialist input for endocrinology input is coming soon. Until then, a Passion Health clinician can see you in person in Dallas–Fort Worth, usually the same day; elsewhere in Texas, ask your own clinician about a specialist referral.
Not yet. When it launches, this will be an eConsult: your Passion Health clinician asks an endocrinologist for written advice. You won't have a visit with the endocrinologist, and they won't take over your care. Until then, a Passion Health clinician can see you in person in Dallas–Fort Worth, usually the same day; elsewhere in Texas, ask your own clinician about a specialist referral. If you're pregnant and have a thyroid, diabetes, or other hormone problem, you need an in-person visit within a few days instead.

Endocrinology is the medical specialty for hormone and gland conditions, such as diabetes, thyroid disease, and adrenal, pituitary, and bone disorders. Through an eConsult, your Passion Health clinician evaluates you, then sends your question, history, and results to an endocrinologist, who gives written advice. The endocrinologist doesn't see or examine you; your clinician explains the advice.
Not near one of our clinics? Online Care is open to adults anywhere in Texas; our clinics are in Dallas–Fort Worth. If the safety questions or your clinician show you need to be examined, we tell you what kind of care you need and how soon — an emergency room, an urgent care center, or a clinician near you. If you've already paid, the full fee is refunded and you get a written summary of your visit to take with you.
Also call 911 for chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke signs, a sudden severe headache, fainting, a seizure, severe bleeding, new confusion, throat swelling, an overdose or thoughts of harming someone else — and call or text 988 for thoughts of harming yourself. If screening routes you before you pay, nothing is charged. If a clinician routes you after you've paid, the full fee is refunded.
A Passion Health clinician evaluates you — online or by video — and stays responsible for your care. With your written consent, they send your history, results and your question to a specialist, who replies with written advice, usually within a few days. The specialist advises your clinician; they don't see you or take over your care. If they think you need to be seen in person, your clinician arranges a referral. How it will be billed is shown here before it opens.
Upload labs, imaging and letters.

A 48-hour check-in, 30 days of secure messaging, and lab follow-up when labs were ordered.
Your clinician shares the endocrinologist's advice with you, usually within a few days, and follows up on any tests or medicine changes. If the specialist recommends an in-person visit, your clinician helps arrange it.

No. A Passion Health clinician evaluates you and stays responsible for your care. No. You're paying for a licensed clinician's evaluation and plan. Many visits end with a prescription; some end with a different plan, a test, or a referral. Controlled medicines — stimulants, benzodiazepines, opioids, testosterone, sleep aids like zolpidem — are never prescribed at an online visit.
No. The endocrinologist doesn't see or examine you. Your Passion Health clinician evaluates you, sends a clear question with your records, and receives written advice, usually within a few days. Your clinician then explains the advice and puts the plan in place. If the specialist feels you should be seen in person, your clinician helps you get a referral.
No. With a referral, you book your own visit with a specialist, which can take weeks or months. An eConsult brings a specialist's advice to your own clinician, often without a separate visit. Many questions, like what a lab result means or which medicine to choose, can be answered this way. If a visit is still needed, the eConsult helps make it more useful.
Questions that can be answered from your history and results work well — for example, whether a thyroid nodule needs a biopsy, how to adjust a hard-to-control diabetes plan, what to do about an abnormal adrenal or pituitary test, or which osteoporosis medicine fits you. Problems that need a hands-on exam or a procedure usually need an in-person specialist visit.
Your Passion Health clinician forms the patient relationship and stays responsible for your care (Tex. Occ. Code §111.005, §111.007). The specialist gives written advice to that clinician with your documented consent and does not see you.
