Short answer

Can I get UTI treatment online in Texas?

Yes, for women 18 and older in Texas. Burning, urgency, going often? A clinician reviews your symptoms the same day and sends treatment to your pharmacy if it's appropriate. Review is by a Texas-licensed Passion Health clinician, 24/7 on weekdays and 7 AM–9 PM CT on weekends. The flat price is $59, or use insurance. Medicines a clinician may consider include nitrofurantoin, fosfomycin and cephalexin or trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (culture-guided) — never controlled medicines, and a prescription is never guaranteed. If you have fever, chills, or pain in your back or side, you need to be seen in person today instead (at our Dallas–Fort Worth clinics, or urgent care near you), and you don't pay the online fee.

About the condition

What to know about urinary tract infection (UTI)

A urinary tract infection (UTI) happens when bacteria, usually from the bowel, get into the bladder and cause burning, urgency and frequent peeing. Women get UTIs much more often than men because the urethra is shorter. Sex, spermicides, menopause and holding urine can raise the risk. Most bladder infections in healthy women are uncomplicated.

Before you start

Is online care right for you?

A good fit for online care

  • Women 18–64 with burning, urgency, or going often
  • A bladder infection without fever or back pain
  • You're not pregnant and don't have diabetes, kidney disease, or a catheter
  • Prevention planning if UTIs keep coming back and you've already had a workup

Book an in-person visit instead if

  • Fever, chills, or pain in your back or side Same day
  • You are pregnant or might be pregnant Same day
  • You're 65 or older, or you have diabetes, kidney disease, kidney stones, a urinary catheter, or a weakened immune system Same day
  • New vaginal discharge or itching, or a new sexual partner Same day
  • Symptoms for more than 7 days, or this is your third UTI in 12 months Within days

Not near one of our clinics? Online Care is open to adults anywhere in Texas; our clinics are in Dallas–Fort Worth. If the safety questions or your clinician show you need to be examined, we tell you what kind of care you need and how soon — an emergency room, an urgent care center, or a clinician near you. If you've already paid, the full fee is refunded and you get a written summary of your visit to take with you.

Call 911 or go to the ER now if you have

Emergency room now

  • Possible HIV exposure in the last 72 hours (PEP medicine must start fast)
  • You can't urinate at all
  • Sexual assault
  • Pregnant, with pelvic pain or bleeding

Also call 911 for chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke signs, a sudden severe headache, fainting, a seizure, severe bleeding, new confusion, throat swelling, an overdose or thoughts of harming someone else — and call or text 988 for thoughts of harming yourself. If screening routes you before you pay, nothing is charged. If a clinician routes you after you've paid, the full fee is refunded.

A Texas-licensed Passion Health clinician reads everything and calls or videos you if they need more.

  3. 3
    You get a plan

If treatment is appropriate, a prescription goes to the pharmacy you choose.

  4. 4
    Follow-up is built in

A 48-hour check-in and secure messaging. If you need to be seen, a same-day visit at our Dallas–Fort Worth clinics, or clear advice on where to go near you.

Fosfomycin 3 g packet1 packet$21.75
Cephalexin 250 or 500 mg capsules30 capsules$12.45–$12.92

Generic prices are mail-order cash prices listed by Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company on October 15, 2026, including its $5.00 pharmacy fee and $5.25 standard shipping. A shorter course costs less.

Shown so you can plan, not to point you to a pharmacy. Any Texas pharmacy can fill your prescription, and its cash price may be higher or lower. With insurance, your plan sets your cost, and a cash purchase usually doesn't count toward your deductible. If you have Medicare or Medicaid, ask the pharmacy to use your coverage first. Prices change. Passion Health doesn't sell medicine and receives nothing from any pharmacy or drugmaker. A prescription is never guaranteed.

Shown so you know what to expect. The reviewing clinician decides what, if anything, is appropriate for you — a prescription is never guaranteed, and controlled medicines are never prescribed online.

Labs, tests and Passion Health services

How much does an online urinary tract infection (UTI) visit cost?

Quick evaluation
$59
  • A Texas-licensed clinician reviews your intake
  • A care plan, and a prescription if appropriate
  • 48-hour check-in
  • 14 days of secure messaging

Using insurance: we're in network with BCBS of Texas, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Humana and Healthcare Highways, and we verify eligibility for every plan before review — you see your estimated cost-share first. New patients have a short video visit, because plans pay for a visit, not a form. Same-day review applies to self-pay visits; insurance visits begin once we've verified your plan, which is the next business morning if you submit overnight or on a weekend. Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP and TRICARE are billed to the program, and the cash rate isn't offered for covered services.

Full refund if your case isn't accepted: if the clinician doesn't accept your case for online care, for any reason, the full fee is refunded to your card within 10 business days, and we help you get the care you need: a same-day visit at one of our Dallas–Fort Worth clinics or, if you're not near one, clear advice on where to be seen and a written summary of your visit. With insurance, no claim is submitted for the online review. Paying the flat price yourself? You can ask for a written Good Faith Estimate before your visit.

Labs and imaging, if needed, are billed separately, and medication is paid at your pharmacy. Passion Health doesn't sell, ship or mark up medication.

Follow-up

A 48-hour check-in message and 14 days of secure messaging. If you're not improving, we book a same-day clinic visit, or, if you're not near one of our clinics, tell you where to be seen near you.

48-hour check-in. If not improving by day 3, we order a urine culture at any CPL (billed separately) and adjust. Third UTI in a year triggers an in-person visit and workup.

Questions

Questions about urinary tract infection (UTI) care

How much does an online urinary tract infection (UTI) visit cost?

The flat cash rate is $59 for a quick evaluation, or use your insurance and pay your plan's cost-share — we show you an estimate before review starts. Medication is paid at your pharmacy. If the clinician doesn't accept your case for online care, for any reason, the full fee is refunded to your card.

Will I talk to someone, or is it just a form?

A Texas-licensed Passion Health clinician reviews every intake and decides your plan — not software. For urinary tract infection (UTI), Texas law lets the clinician evaluate you from a condition-specific intake plus your photos and records, and they'll call or video you whenever something needs a conversation. New patients using insurance have a short video visit, because plans pay for a visit, not a form.

Is a prescription guaranteed?

No. You're paying for a licensed clinician's evaluation and plan. Many visits end with a prescription; some end with a different plan, a test, or a referral. Controlled medicines — stimulants, benzodiazepines, opioids, testosterone, sleep aids like zolpidem — are never prescribed at an online visit.

Do I need a urine test before treatment?

Usually not for a simple bladder infection in a healthy woman — a clinician can often decide from your symptoms. If you aren't better by day 3, or your history suggests something more, we order a urine culture at CPL (billed separately) and adjust treatment to the result. A third UTI in a year means an in-person visit and a workup.

Can men get UTI treatment online?

Not through this page. UTIs in men are less common and are more often linked to the prostate or kidneys, so they need an exam and a urine culture. Men with urinary symptoms can book a same-day visit at any Passion Health clinic in Dallas–Fort Worth or call 214-666-6259; if you're not near one of our clinics, see an urgent care center or your own clinician.

How soon will I feel better?

Many women notice less burning within a day or two of starting an antibiotic, but finish the full course even if you feel better. Drink plenty of fluids. If symptoms aren't improving by day 3, or you develop fever, chills, or back pain, message us or book a same-day clinic visit (or, if you're not near one of our clinics, we tell you where to be seen near you).

Can I get UTI antibiotics online without an in-person visit?

In Texas, yes, for women 18 and older with typical symptoms of a simple bladder infection. You answer the intake, a Texas-licensed Passion Health clinician reviews it the same day, and if an antibiotic is appropriate it's sent to the pharmacy you choose. Nobody can promise a prescription in advance: the clinician decides, and if your symptoms suggest a kidney infection or something more, you're sent for an in-person visit instead (at one of our clinics, or near you if you're not close to one) and the online fee is refunded.

The Texas law behind this visit

A clinician may form a valid patient relationship online using store-and-forward technology — your condition-specific intake, photos and records — paired with a call or video when needed, as long as the in-person standard of care is met (Tex. Occ. Code §111.005(a)(3), §111.007). Your clinician gives you guidance on follow-up care and, with your consent, sends new patients' visit notes to their primary care physician within 72 hours (§111.005(b)).
