Dr. Shyamala Arani Purushotham, MD, FACP, CHCQM, is a board-certified internal medicine physician and Co-Founder of Passion Health Physicians. She serves patients in Irving and Plano, Texas with a strong commitment to accessible, compassionate primary care.

She completed her residency at Robert Packer Hospital in Pennsylvania and practiced internal medicine for several years. Dr. Arani firmly believes that many hospitalizations can be prevented through affordable, comprehensive primary care.

Inspired by Sir William Osler’s philosophy — “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease” — Dr. Arani focuses on meaningful patient relationships and holistic care.

Born and raised in India, she graduated from Sri Venkateswara Medical College and moved to the United States in 2012. Outside of practice, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and practicing yoga.
