Dr. Vellaiappan Somasundaram, MD, MRCP (UK), is a dedicated Primary Care and Internal Medicine physician serving patients in Prosper and Frisco, Texas. He has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions with a strong focus on patient-centered care.

He completed his medical education at Madurai Medical College, earned his master’s degree from Madras Medical College, obtained MRCP certification from the Royal College of Physicians (UK), and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York.

Prior to joining Passion Health Primary Care, Dr. Somasundaram worked as a Primary Care Physician at ARH Hospital in Kentucky, managing conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, depression, and anxiety.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, cooking, watching sports, gardening, and spending time with family.
