Back pain seems to be everywhere. 8 out of every 10 people experience consistent back pain in their lives. Back pain can also severely impact your mental health, and lead to a lot of unwanted stress. are several treatments and simple tricks to help alleviate this back pain, but it’s important to understand the causes before jumping to the treatment. This can help reduce the possibility of remission and leave you much more mentally satisfied with your treatment.
A couple of common causes of back pain are:
- Posture
- Your posture is very important to the health of your back. Keeping your spine bent the wrong way all the time, well, bends your spine the wrong way. This isn’t the natural position that your body should be in, so it generally causes you pain.
- Slipped Disc
- Your spine is made up of vertebrae, and they’re separated by discs that help separate them. If one of these discs is forced out of position, either by one jarring force or long-term stress, it can end up on your nerves, quite literally. If your pain radiates back down to your hips and up to your neck, the cause of your back pain is most likely a slipped disc.
- Stress
- A common symptom of stress is heavy breathing. This happens because your body is trying to take in as much air as possible to give your brain and muscles extra stamina. While this is perfectly fine in short periods, your body isn’t equipped to handle long-term heavy breathing. This leads to tension forming in your back and shoulders, which can cause severe back pain.
There are a couple of easy ways to help alleviate back pain.
